Chicago Botanic Gardens on a Windy Day

I wanted to capture the feel and the SOUND of the wind blowing through these grasses. Just imagine -- the rustling of all those dried leaves. I didn't do a good job of capturing the image of the wind blowing because I used a fast shutter speed and caught the grasses when they were only a little bit blowy, rather than being more bent from the wind.

I'm really liking Michael's related image, taken on the same day, and showing the sense of the wind better: http://365project.org/vankrey/365/2013-11-09
I can tell the wind was blowing simply by the angle, so think it works. What I love about it though are the layers that play out in different tones and textures.

I think this really does capture wind blowing - the grasses certainly aren't static. Great shot!

I like the way you captured this image especially the soft blowing of the wind into the grass and the awesome light that slowly fades away.
