Bus Station Schedule by jyokota

Bus Station Schedule

(Clearly not for photo quality, but for the story it tells.) This board represents only the O-Z in the alphabetical listing of bus schedule times. When many people kept telling me about how the preferred means of traveling around Poland was by bus, I was skeptical. But having compared air, train, and bus, I now agree: Polski Bus is great! Punctual, efficient, clean, and with free wifi, snacks from juice -coffee - tea to breakfast roll - ice cream - cookies! Prices start at 1 zloty, which is about 30 cents in USD. My bus fare from Krakow to Wroclaw, a three hour journey, cost the equivalent of $8.
Looks scary to decipher.

I love efficient travel modes. I enjoyed the Japanese rail experience a ton--a JR Pass alone was a dream; then Bali was incredibly chaotic but with its own rhythms. They could not be more different countries. Enjoying these photos from Poland. My cousin just got a contract with Viking for her novel based on her grandfather's amazing holocaust journey from Poland. Book will release next year.

@darylo -- Please let me know when that book is published!

I'm slowly finishing up my Poland photos. I was stumped after I went to Auschwitz and couldn't post any more so I took a hiatus.

On my way to your album to check out your Japan photos!

@taffy -- I knew you would remember it! Of course Bill had to have the Polski Bus experience, too.

@darylo -- i saw the beginnings of Bali so now I'm looking forward to more Bali and Japan. I have to finish Poland before posting SF and Boston before heading out to Fargo and St Louis!

@888rachel @rosiekerr -- there's a bus attendant like a flight attendant who takes care of passengers and distributes snacks and such.

Wow, sounds like a great deal! The US could definitely learn a thing or two from Poland about their bus system.

Now, that looks complex, but great if you can work it out and take advantage of the service. I love using busses when they are efficient!
