@elaine55 They are bronze statues that are exactly as Robert Mccloskey drew them in the children's picture book, "Make Way for Ducklings." Although they are firmly secured into the ground, people still manage to steal them -- I think four have been stolen over the years but replaced.

I'm glad we are not on the road and have to pul up and warn all who come both ways - as we have and unfortunately seen cars who don't care and one little duckling got hit and I had to deal with that for the rest of the night!
