Kitchen Gadgets Old and New

I love it when I walk into a store and there's a mix of new items among items that have been sold since the store opened decades ago.
Nice arrangement some of them look like torture devices...

Oh golly whizz, what an interesting array of kitchen gadgets. Can't quite work out the exact use of the gizmos in the foreground.

Great display.

Like the contrast of new to old, with a slight twist. That is a non-electric pizzelle mold, right?

@joysabin -- I think you just answered @golftragic 's question. Thanks!

Great contrast in this shot. And fun to read the commentary sorting out the use of the foreground tool.

Wonderful image! So much to look at and wonder over! Love those old wooden drawers! Looks like an Aladins cave to me and a perfect place to browse! Fav!

I love stores with kitchen gadgets.

I'd be jealous of all your travels if it weren't for the fact you send us the most wonderful pictures!

@rjb71 -- ha! I'd hate to think of what kind of torture it would be but for me, any cooking has a torture element about it.
@cocobella @jgpittenger @777margo @danette @joysabin @taffy @darylo @agedrunner @agedrunner @jamibann @jamibann @lyndamcg @pamknowler @joansmor thank you all for visiting my photos and your supportive comments. This is one of those images that could never have been anticipated before I entered the store. I saw it, and knew I wanted to preserve that moment of feeling I was in a timeless location but with new stuff, too. Interesting how some cultures really value tradition and others simply tear down the old to make a uniform new. I love the mix. It makes me wonder who designed the original store, who worked there, who shopped there, etc.

@Weezilou -- aw,, you're so nice to say that. It's simply capturing what I want to remember, and posting what I want to express about my days and what caught my eye. Well, Bologna was so last week so I'm moving on to post Valencia soon.

@jyokota I look forward to traveling with you if only vicariously! Enjoy!
