Whenever I see an old building that was around since before the 1930s when my grandparents were diplomats in Spain and my father lived there as a child, I wonder if they also walked by the same building I am walking by now.

@adi314 -- written in the narrative above, my grandparents used to live in Spain, and my father spent years of his childhood there. All of them are now gone, but I wonder what they saw when they were there. I didn't even get to meet my grandparents until I was five because they were always overseas in diplomatic service at a time when people didn't just fly around to see family. Where are you located? Chicago is my home base now.
