A 268-foot fall! (82 meters) (house on top lightened for scale)
There was a photographer there, with his tripod and I looked at it longingly since I didn't have one. I was chatting with him about settings, etc., and bemoaning not having my tripod or my filters for a longer exposure but as he packed up and left, he called out to me, "I kind of like using a little faster shutter speed on these bigger falls to give it some texture." He was right.
Rule to keep in mind whenever you see photographers who seem to know what they are doing: Chat them up. Smile. Hope for Tidbits of Tips to come floating your way.
Perfect with the definition in the water and then the wonderful softness of the splash. I need to get more courageous re talking to other photographers. I always fear looking stupid
