Sunday Afternoon at the Book Castle by jyokota

Sunday Afternoon at the Book Castle

I photograph Schloss Blutenburg every time I come here, which is at least once a year. An iPhone shot, the sky really was very blue, but this looks like I enhanced it and I actually desaturated it a bit. I looked back to my first photo of it, taken in 2013, and the description brought back such vivid memories of trying to figure out how to capture the colors behind it before it disappeared. https://365project.org/jyokota/365/2013-09-10
Idyllic setting for study

The blue reflecting on the ice is stunning.

I’d love to see the unfiltered version sometime too - I love when a sky is so saturated that it looks like it can’t possibly be real. I’m using an old iPhone at the moment because mine got stolen, but my next one I want to prioritize the camera to supercharge my snaps.

A stunning capture and reflections on what appears to be ice. I so often have to desaturate the sky here too ;-)

@kozoji4161 -- welcome to 365! Your first comment :). You are already a photographer, so you will appreciate the upgraded camera. But it's much cheaper in the US so on your summer trip . . . we can go to the Apple Store!

@ludwigsdiana -- I know, right? Such an intensely blue sky. I do love feeling the blueness of it, too.
