Reflections of Blutenburg

Sorry, folks. I'm in meetings in this castle every day so the only photos I take are going to the castle or leaving the castle at night. Ten jury members one jury president, two ex-officio members from thirteen different countries. . . all sequestered in a room in the castle to vote on the author and illustrator winners of the highest award in our field . . . the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
Wow! Congratulations on being chosen for this! Gorgeous castle! FAV!

Such a beautiful sight, so impressive really, the iPhone 11 Pro does take wonderful photos. My you are doing important work there! May I ask, since the jury is an even number (ten) is the president the tie breaker if the votes are tied?

Beautiful! I worked in a children's book store for 5 years and ordered the special order books for teachers and customers. I also met many authors and illustrators at the American Booksellers Association and book signings at the store. This was in the 80's. I loved it.

@gardenfolk -- we might have crossed paths as I was a classroom teacher and school librarian who frequented book stores and ABA in those years!
