I only had a borrowed very small tripod, barely above the ground level. Tourists are apparently much fewer in the winter, but still, there were some who never moved at the back of this photo. Those who were moving around, ghosted out, of course. This angled composition gives a different perspective than the typical centered ones (which I had tried, but the lowness of the tripod and my inability to squat down endlessly kept me from being successful in casting a wide angle well).
Another great night shot with lovely starbursts! Crystal clear! I am laughing at you saying you can’t squat down - it’s so long since I last swatted for a photo - memories! Lol!
We found the tourists almost overwhelming when we were there last year - I know we were only adding to the crush and mayhem but I think some need to do it with a bit more respect rather than bullish ignorance....anyhoo, fab shot. We loved Prague :)
Lovely shot, nicely lit. Somewhere between the dome and spires is a small restaurant where I proposed to @shepherdmanswife on a snowy January evening. She said yes, obviously. Best decision she ever made......
Great capture! I remember having the same problem when I stood on that bridge two years ago. It was wall-to-wall with people, making it impossible to get a decent wide shot.
Despite the challenges, you created a beautiful nighttime shot. The flares from the lamppost and the perfect lighting on the architecture are especially appealing!
So beautiful and perfect on black. I love the angle of the shot. I’ve always heard Prague is beautiful, this image certainly reinforces that line of thinking.
bridge to the other side and fantastic buildings..great pov and exposure
