The cicada has emerged

Oh-SO-Many! One morning about two months ago I woke up to find my garden dotted with holes all over -- maybe 30? 40? And now there are cicada shells stuck to my house, to leaves, to the garden fence, and more. In the evenings, the cicadas are quite loud, and it reminds me of childhood in Japan.
