Where the Wild Things Are . . . Sleeping

Backyard where all the living creatures I have been posting live.

"And now" cried Max "let the wild rumpus begin!"

Amazing shot of your mysterious backyard, somehow it looks very Asian to me.

@kvphoto -- Indeed, intended to pay homage to Sendak. Children's Literature is the field I work in.
@ludwigsdiana -- I guess my Japanese background shows! And I agree -- that darkness brings out mystery.
@bkbinthecity -- thank you! I even dragged out my tripod and set it up in the dark.
@joansmor -- My backyard buddies gave me permission to photograph their home, the only place I have photographed since March with the exception of one trip to the Chicago Botanic Gardens with Taffy

I love this, the fisheye lets one believe that they could just walk into this magical world. FAV!

this is a great use of the fisheye and you got some amazing light there - beautiful and mysterious.
I might have pointed a little lower to get the house more squarely ... not quite sure how that would affect the overall impression
