Fighting over the last bit of peanuts. The squirrels have been gnawing at the bird feeder and getting bits of peanuts out so it's hard to keep it filled up. Plus it's over my head in height so I have to drag a step-stool out or wait for a taller friend to come by. I'm only 5' tall so it takes a friend who is only a few inches taller to reach the feeders.
A magnificent capture of these gorgeous birds. Fabulous plumage details. I too find that uploaded photos look totally different here. Maybe for that reason some of my pics seem too sharp, I take that in consideration when editing.
Nice action shot. You know, I can almost always recognize a photo as yours as I scroll, before I see your name. You have a great, clean style...almost as if every photo would look good in a children's book!
@houser934 -- thank you! I feel like this is a style I've developed during pandemic photography. Before, I traveled so much that my photos tended to be whatever-I-see-as-I-travel, just things that caught my eye. But when limited to my backyard, it allowed me to focus on what I wanted to capture and project. I never thought of myself as having a particular "style" so your comment intrigues me. Plus, my field of lifetime work is in children's books -- how did you know?
@vesna0210 Thank you, Vesna! @johnfalconer -- and you were right! Although when the baby squirrel peeking over the tree starting climbing in favs and ended up with more I thought that would be the one to make it to TT. In any case, I am appreciative!
