Chicago Skyline Panorama - iphone version

Seriously, why do we carry all the heavy equipment around? The color is very golden, it's not quite as clear, but pretty darn good. 1 shot.

The SLR version with 15 stitched photos: https://365project.org/jyokota/365/2018-01-02

Great shot for a phone, must say the SLR version has much less noise and is much sharper

This is amazing, and does make me wonder why we lug all our equipment! Great reflections in the ice and a classic look to the city. Of course, the stitched one gives the broader look at the skyline, which can't be beat!

@leonbuys83 -- THANK YOU for noticing and for convincing me it was worth standing with the heavy camera and taking all the shots with it!

Wonderful capture of the city skyline

Similar, but different. Horses for courses. The most important thing is that the iPhone's usually right to hand. Love the shot BTW.

haha! but you can play with the camera much better!

Honestly I like the SLR one better, so much more work I know.

I have found that with landscape shots, I don't have much patience! And then my phone goes and does a great job; however, I do believe the stitched one is VERY impressive. I have no stitching ability, so I'm completely in awe.

It is indeed getting harder and harder to justify lugging around the big stuff when the new phones do so well. But then again, it's usually the photographer and not the equipment that make the picture.....as you've so wonderfully demonstrated in both of your shots!

Fab photo - I know what you mean but there is something about carrying a camera with you. Never done panorama so very impressed. Another to add to my list of things to learn.

@mandygravil -- this one wasn't taken as a panorama. It was taken as a single photo and then cropped into a panorama shape. On an iPhone, panoramas have a bit of a dip/curve in the middle. Definitely worth trying out.
