wood, water, fire and air

Spent half the day stoking this thing as our coal range is broken and I need hot water. Now I am all smoky!
Sorry to hear about the broken coal range. Photo is 'da bomb' tho!

LOVE this!!! I remember days of having to heat water outside and cooking outside because we had no electricity from a hurricane that had gone through!!! I wish I would have had a pot like this to heat our water!!! What is it or was it used for before the water? It has such character and I'm a bit of a fire bug and love the flames. Awesome composition and a FAV!

Thanks for stopping by my page and the Fav you gavae, will be following you!!

Wonderful pov and texture, and I love the lick of flame at the bottom. Sounds like a difficult day for you though.

Love this shot. These were so handy, we had one we used for picnics. A NZ invention I think and they were standard WW II army issue. A few twigs was all it took and the kettle was boiled. I hope your range is repaired soon - this wouldn't be much of a picnic on a cold wet day.
