flee me

Still having fun playing with the 35mm lens, but gee its pretty unpredictable, focus is very hit and miss with my eyes so lets go with a slight icm. I felt mean running at these gulls, just to make them take flight for me. lots of young ones still with their juvenile plumage, the parents squawking madly in indignation..
very cool creative shot!

I bought that lens since I loved your flower shots sooo much! I can't wait to play with it.

I harass gulls regularly, and Canada geese. Not so much other birds, I like them more!

I have a 35 that works as a nifty fifty on my crop sensor. The lens is my fav. But it is sooooo heavy (Sigma)

@blueberry1222 wide open its just all blur and bokeh, hard to get anything properly sharp , i am so used to autofocus, takes a bit of getting used to juggling f-stop and focus ring, but we can learn it together :)

@darylo this one is more of a pancake style lens, so not too big. read my comment to Krista above.

@voiceprintz yes i cant see the screen to tell if its in focus or not, but that is also because the lens has no focus confirm.....my eyes have got rapidly bad since taking up photography, looking through one eye at the sun all the time!

@tracie8266 @jocasta @pistache @ivan @gozoinklings @tracie8266 @mastermek @brigette @bella_ss @ltodd @juliedduncan thanks i tried faffing with this but int he end used it straight out of the camera except for a vibrancy adjustment. some things dont need messing with, they are happy accidents, i wasnt even looking through the viewfinder when taking this.

Sounds like a great lens, love how you experiment.

Its a cool shot, especially with the consistent out of focus feel, often I just get the "wrong" focus

The scene looks very peaceful despite you chasing seagulls.
