@chris667 so how do you do the real thing in darkroom? flash light on the negatives as they are developing was what he discovered by accident i believe

@kali66 I always did mine by taking the print out of the developer tray before it was ready, then putting it into another tray of water to slow developing. A second or so of normal light, then put the print back into the developer to finish, then stop and fix as normal.

I'm perfect, obvs, so I have never done this by accidentally switching the lights on or opening the door. Oh no. :-)
