slip sliding away

clearing a slip on shw6, west coast south island new zealand. there are several places along this coastal highway which are requiring significant maintenance after double cyclones this summer, down to one lane in some places, wouldnt take much to cut it off completely, taking months to repair.
for my get-pushed challenge from Lisa which is 'busy'

Great shot for B&W... certainly some devistation has been caused this summer/autumn to our roadsides around the country

Wow... You'd be nervous driving along that road.

It's a lovely shot, the NZ coastline is so pretty. We'e had bad mudslides here too, with record snowfalls and now the melts happening.

Wow, they are most definitely busy. Beautiful shot. Love all the layers of the hills behind them. Hope they get it repaired quickly.

Love the layers of neutral tones. A great documentary photo along with the commentary. Do you think the road will be repaired quickly? Mud slides were quite common in California and I remember one road which was the main road to a mountain village... It was repaired rather quickly!

@rubysandals this slip is easily cleared but several other parts are very vulnerable, the place in this news link is only one lane, will take 6 months to repair back to two lanes, and if the sea decides to take the other half in the meantime there is no where for the road to retreat to, its a big cliff on the other side! https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/101106341/sh6-smashed-up-as-concrete-thrown-across-the-road-in-punakaiki

That doesn't look like a very easy place to repair.
