My boys used to have tons of those and all of the wee tools with which to change all of their wee parts. When we moved from Saudi I found all of them carefully preserved in the youngest son's bedside table in a handmade storage case that he made in shop class. I have put them all aside for him to share with his little ones. I must admit. the living room floor looked like your photo more times than I would like to admit! :)
@evalieutionspics lovely story, what does he do now? @henrir@30pics4jackiesdiamond the 7 year old these belong to is really fastidious and often has great collections laid out on his desk, i like to photograph them.
@kali66 He is a mechanical engineer. He and his brothers were always taking things apart and mostly putting them back together again. They were especially fond of cannabalizing motors and gears from this and that non-working toy from the thrift store to make new weird gadgets. It was always an adventure being their mom.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond We did have a clean floor deadline every afternoon; after the deadline, anything left on the floor went into the "Disappearing Basket." If things showed up in the basket three times in a week, they had to take it to the charity shop. They did a pretty good job of keeping things tidy overall.
