Friendship and film

for get-pushed Caroline asked me to do a still life of something that I am grateful for

Lou Sousa, who used to frequent these parts set me up with all I needed to develop film at home, a couple of years a ago. I recently dug it all out of the cupboard to develop the films my son shot , and he is coming around today to learn how its done!
@chejja sorry this is a bit late!

@spanner has it been a while for you too? Now that i have cracked open these bottles i really should shoot some of the 3 cameras i have film sitting in!

I took a course in the late 1970s that involved darkroom work -- I really liked how time just disappears when processing photos. Not quite the same as using the computer.

@kali66 Yes - it has been too long. Photography in general has been neglected. Look forward to seeing some of your results.

Interesting still life. I don't recognize anything but the roll of film.

Wow, this brings back memories. I still have some developing tray that haven't been used since 1992. They still smell like developer! LOL!

@homeschoolmom the smell is pretty enduring!

@summerfield I would love that, (the postage would cost more than the films!!) i have had film sent to me by Lou from the states so it is do-able :)

Good to see! Much more satisfying to see and touch than the digital equivalent. Fav
