gold fever

Vera's push for me this week was technology, and no doubt this is not the kind of thing she had in mind for me to portray! but i enjoyed coming across my neighbour's gold mining setup arrayed like this just before he returned with a trailer full of sand to process through the machine. The gold is superfine and not visible to the naked eye but patches of black sand hold it , amazing how the sea sorts her treasures.

Oh, gosh, it looks like he is going to vacuum the beach as well as the lake! Delightful and made me smile! Good focus!

Well, luckily it's not up to the challenger to make the photo - whatever "I" had in mind is not that important. Awesome interpretation - and I agree, it's quite surreal, especially with this random bar stool! Love the colors and the "weird" line of the hoses. Looks a bit Dr.Suess-ish.

I like this insight. Is there a need for a coffee table for one's cuppa or beer?

Intriguing set up and definitely technological. The bar stool is a nice touch.

Outdoor still life.. like the limited palette of the objects and the shape of the vegetation on the hills -
