Low Tide by kannafoot

Low Tide

Taking advantage of low tide pretty close to lunch time, I went out to Colt State Park in Bristol for today's photo. I was a bit torn over which one to post since there was also a rather interesting shot in this same location of a large tugboat towing a huge barge down the channel. In the end, though, I went with this photo because of the deeper colors and the interesting reflections. Besides, I really like pilings and docks.

I didn't do a lot to this photo in post processing. I've started shooting in manual mode instead of aperture preferred mode, and for some reason I seem to be getting truer and richer colors out of the same shots, even with the same settings. Since I shoot in RAW mode, you'd think it wouldn't matter, but for some reason it appears to make a difference. Anyway, I ran this through a simple pop filter in Topaz Adjust, then adjusted the levels a hair. A sepia filter provided just the right balance as the uppermost layer.
Nice crisp image... wonderful color tones.
