Today marked the 27th annual "Blessing of the Bikes" in Providence. This event is billed as the largest bike blessing event in New England, and indeed there were motorcycle clubs from all over the Northeast represented. Just walking the crowd I saw groups from all of the New England states plus several from New York. There were a number of artisan booths for customized jackets, patches, helmets, or pretty much anything else you would want to add to your gear. In today's shot, I selected a local artisan hand-crafting a pair of leather belts. The rest of the photos from today will appear in my Street Photography gallery on Smugmug.
I stuck with black and white today since I really like the effect for candid street photography. This shot required very little in the way of processing. I added the black and white gradient map in color blend mode for the b&w conversion. I added a sepia photo filter followed by a levels adjustment and a slight brightness/contrast adjustment to top it off.
