The cooler temperatures coupled with the start of the school year has changed the behavior of people heading to the various outdoor spots in the state. India Point Park was a prime location for this hot dog vendor throughout the summer months. Now, though, the park does not draw the same crowd at lunch and the season for these mobile food carts is coming to a close. Interestingly enough, other food markets are seeing this as the start of their season. A farmer's market opens this week on Providence's East Side, clearly catering to the arrival of the latest crop of Brown University students. Similarly, the roadside farm stands and the outdoor farmer's markets are preparing for their transitions to indoor venues. Personally, I'll miss the outdoor stands. They add a certain character to the city that is noticeably absent once the cold weather arrives.
Post processing involved my old traditional b&w conversion method as opposed to using Topaz B&W Effects. I applied a gradient map in color blend mode, followed by a hue adjustment to improve the tones in the sky. A slight levels adjustment was added and the top layer is a sepia photo filter.
