I went downcity at lunch to do some street photography. I liked this background scene with the golden leaves on the trees and the federal courthouse tower brilliantly lit in the early afternoon sun. It was just a matter of waiting until someone interesting entered the scene. That took all of about five minutes before this gentleman came up the steps on roller blades and promptly crossed the street twirling and criss-crossing as he went. When he spotted my camera, he circled back several times to make sure I got a decent photo, and then, with a wave, he headed off down Water Street.
Post processing started with a simple pop filter in Topaz Adjust. I then adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, protect highlights, and adaptive saturation. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
@cejaanderson Thanks, Jane. I do enjoy the storytelling part of the project. LOL
@allie912 Thanks, Allison. You'll probably recognize a bunch of photos in the coming months, then! I'm planning to spend a bit of time up on Thayer Street.
@jojo12is Thanks Maliya! I enjoy street photography, and the background here was perfect. All that was needed was for someone interesting to walk in front of it!
