I went downcity for some street photography at lunch today. After the fifth cyclist rode by in the span of a couple of minutes, I realized there was the potential for a good photo using cold-weather cyclists. The buildings in the background, dating back to the early 1800s, provided the proper setting. It didn't take long for this cyclist to ride by. Interestingly enough, there was a lull in the traffic so I was able to capture just the cyclist without any cars to capture the attention. What amazes me is the the number of people still commuting by bike despite the amount of snow and ice on the ground.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, boost black, boost white, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
