Cauliflower Mushroom

The Lippitt Park Farmer's Market is again open for the summer. It's one of my favorite locations for people photography. (I'm also highly addicted to the cupcakes sold by The Cupcakerie, and they always have a booth at the market. But I go there for the photos. Really. Honest!) Now, I'm not a mushroom expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm pretty sure this is a cauliflower mushroom, native to the pacific northwest, that he's just weighed for a customer. In any case, I really like the concentration on his face as he checked the weight and price. I'll have to check out his bottled sauces one of these days. If, that is, I have any cash left after buying my cupcakes.
Post processing started with a classic filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
What a wonderful capture! As usual you manage to capture such character and emotion in your shots! You'll have to get some shots of that cupcakerie! Sounds amazing! ;)
