Chepachet, Rhode Island

This weekend, the village of Chepachet in Glocester, Rhode Island is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the start of trolley service to and from Providence. They had a vintage collection of antique cars and trolleys on-hand for their centennial celebration. The Model T Ford in the foreground hit the road in 1917, so it, too, is closely approaching its centennial. The upholstery needs a bit of work, but other than that, once you crank her up - notice the crank beneath the grill - she still purrs like a kitten. Well, like a cat. A very very old cat.

Post processing started with a neutral filter in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, adaptive exposure, regions, contrast, boost black, boost white, protect highlights, and details. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.

Here's the high res version in Smugmug: http://kannafoot.smugmug.com/Photo-Challenges/PAD2014/i-XqVwbcJ/0/XL/2014%2006%2029_0014%20copy-XL.jpg
Lovely old cars and lovely b/w photos Ron. I see cars like these every November on the London to Brighton run. Fav.
