This was our last full day to explore Brussels, Belgium with our daughter. We accidentally got off route and found ourselves on the side streets which showcased a myriad of doors. I tried to capture as many doors as I could while trying to keep up with my daughter, thus not getting perfect pov's of each door. Oh well, I still like the result, even with its imperfections.
P.S. I'd like to credit the person who created a door collage for the 365 Project over a year ago. Don't know who she was, but I got this idea from her. Anyone know who I'm talking about?
Each one of these is so interesting. There's one with your selfie I think. Most of them have letter slots, something I haven't seen in our area for years and years.
This is great! Yes, I think I saw someone put up a nice door collage. Don't know who, but it's nice of you to credit the person you got the idea from. I've also seen the same type on a calendar from Ireland, and doing a Google search for "door collage" I can see it is a genre of it's own. Yours is a really nice one. I love the variety of colors and styles you found. So your daughter wouldn't slow down for photography, eh? What's a mother to do? :-)
Yes, I am partial to doors, too, and have always loved seeing posters or photographs of door collages! They tell such a story.....I always try to photograph them when I am traveling. They are so much more interesting in urban environments. Unfortunately, here where "car is king" the garage doors feature a lot more prominently than the entry doors!
I recall the idea from a while ago, but can't help you with the creative soul who initiated it. This is awesome... so many doors, so little time. :). You were busy! Nicely done.
Very cool I think it was Katie @archaeofrog. i know her from the Madison Photography Meetup group, in fact I learned about 365 from her. I know I've seen a post similar, it may have been on her blog. I couldn't readily see it from the thumbnails here. She's been too busy blogging or something, hasn't been here since May.
Oh my goodness...I am really sorry to have missed this. We were doing a spur of the moment road trip and difficult to be connected. This is so fabulous and I LOVE photor of doors!! I'll have to study to see which is my favorite. Might look lovely framed!! FAV for sure!
