Brewing Kansas Storm by kareenking

Brewing Kansas Storm

While accompanying in an upstairs loft for a local Catholic Mass service, I heard the tornado siren kick off (which I am not sure anyone downstairs in the sanctuary heard at that point). Freaking out, I missed every accidental in the key signature of the following song. Ironically, the the first song after communion was, "Be Not Afraid." Thankfully, the tornado scare was short-lived and reduced to a thunderstorm warning.
Tee hee.. we posted "Storm" photos at almost the exact same time! Great minds...

Wonderful capture and POV. I was reading that the storms were going to be heavy through the mid-west this past weekend.

Beautiful, the white horse and deep blue sky make for a terrific image. I'm glad the storms didn't get to you. fav

The clouds definitely set the stage for this shot. Makes the white of the horse stand out, and the red of the barn. A great shot.

Love the white horse and red barn against that dramatic sky, fav. I'm glad the tornado didn't happen.

Thanks to "The Wizard of Oz", people associate tornadoes with Kansas. My mother grew up in Great Bend, and she never experienced even a warning. You've caught the atmospheric sky so well here, and the horse shows the vulnerability of all.

A super capture. Must be very frightening when there is likely to be a tornado

The horse really stands out against the ominous sky. Tornado warnings must be quite scary.
