Listen to His Song! It Says to Look for the Beauty Around You!
After editing one sunset photo after another, trying to decide which one to post for today, I came back to this simple shot from my walk on Missile Base Road, and for some reason it took my breath away. There's a story behind it. For years, I've struggled through my spiritual journey. Without going into all the detail, I'll just say that it's my tendency to focus on what doesn't make sense and on who or what has hurt me. And, while on this walk, I opened my arms wide and cried, "God, I went to let go of everything but love." I wish I could say that the heavens opened wide and I was transformed forever. But, just like life, there's always a test. For in the midst of my tears and the beauty around me, I was stupid enough to answer my iPhone. I was then assaulted with an automated message from my medical clinic's office instructing me not to show up if I've been to Africa in the past three weeks and reminding me of the time and day of my next appointment. Ugh! But, viewing this photo again reminds me to let that one go too. :)
I know how you are feeling Kareen, but you've done the right thing and ventured out to find beauty around you - well done! This singing bird is truly beautiful -if only i could hear it :) Fav
