Look Again - This Happened During Totality at 1:06 p.m.
Cool - being on the path of totality. Not cool - rain and clouds. Cool - experiencing darkness, sunset colors on western and northern horizon, and nocturnal sounds including roosters crowing and crickets and birds chirping for over a minute. Not cool - wasting $99.00 on a worthless solar filter for my camera lens. Cool - being able to give away three pairs of solar glasses away to people who were in areas where they could actually see the sun. Not cool - being envious of everyone who got to be on the path of totality where they got to experience everything. Cool - being alive and well and able to say at least I got to experience something!!!
P.S. This photo was taken near Effingham, KS. The sunset you see is in the north - very miraculous indeed! The two weird little spots of red and green have no earthly explanation. I was standing outside, so they were not off the reflection of my car window.
