Awww, what a sweet shot of this young male cardinal. With our daily afternoon rains I'm sure many of our birds are looking like this lately. At least the birdbaths are always full ;-) Kidding aside, this is a fav! Love that innocent expression and pose.
Awww! What a great shot! I have a cardinal that's showing up in the early evening. He was out there the other night, just after a small storm blew through, chirping away. Happy fellow. This one looks like he'd rather be dry! Nice catch!
@tacetstudios LOL ...Not this time, Tina. I was shooting water drops on a flower when my husband saw the cardinal nearby. Turned around and started snapping. Sometimes it helps to have the hubby go along with me. Thanks!!
Ha ha I always feel sorry for birds in the rain. It is so windy here today I think they are having trouble holding on to their branches. this little guy is so cute and beautifully coloured
haha! funny caption. and it looks funny the way you captured this little guy. i've seen quite a few birds carousing in little paddles and it's a sight to watch them. they're so comical. and yes, i tried to capture them but i fumble everytime and they just fly away. this is such a fine capture, KA.
Oh, how cute! Poor guy! I found a shop here to get my sensor cleaned! I might take it in today, but I don't know how I feel about taking two kids into a camera shop. That's just one fo this things best done alone.
@cmc1200 Thank you for the comment, Caryn. I haven't had a problem with my camera at all since it was cleaned. You and I have a great camera with the D7000. I wouldn't worry about the kids ...our shop has kids in there alot when I go there. I can drop my camera off and come back in an hour to pick it up after it's cleaned. However, they would let me watch the process ... if I want to. I never do ... but my husband has. :)

LOL! I think I have one little pic of a cardinal in my project. And he is way up on a power line. They are impossible to capture! And you get this funny one too! I love it! fav
@karenann Did Ross get rid of that Klara person? I don't see her up there...I hope so! That is the one thing about this site...if weirdos crop up, it has to be really overtly bad to get them removed...otherwise, they can follow your posts...ugh.
@espyetta Aww...thanks so much for the kind words and the fav, MB. He was a cute little guy and just a lucky capture. (Hubby pointed him out as I was shooting flowers!) As for the "Klara" person .. he/she was on quite a few sites and they notified Ross immediately. Thirty minutes later "it" was gone. Good for Ross ... really weird messages tho and a bit scary. Thanks for the visit, MB ... have missed you much!

@espyetta We miss you too, Mary Beth ... I lost so many friends who finished up this past summer. I just am staying on now to learn, learn and learn. Always an inspiration to be on here and see the others photos. Going to more photo classes and getting to know my camera better. Please continue to drop by ... @karenann Hugs back to you and take the time you need. I am so far behind and will go at a pace that works for me. Not used to this HOT weather at all and that added to my slowing down. There is a lot that needs to be done every day, Karen. I sit at a desktop and sure that others have ipads or something a lot easier and faster to use but this is what it is for me. I love taking photos and learning and have some wonderful people on here that I have met and learned a great deal from. So grateful for that. Take care.
