There's More than Corn in Indiana?

This answers that question... Yes! In fact, there are also grain elevators too! I took a class last semester at IU called "Food Politics: the Politics of What's for Dinner" and it was mostly about the corn industry dominating the food market. We watched several documentaries about large corporations taking over and putting small farms out of business. Many old grain elevators such as this one are abandon and replaced with much larger industrial elevators. I thought this was a neat example of that pattern throughout the midwest!

What an interesting looking building. Looks like it could fall any minute. Great capture of it.

Yes, it's just sad....and difficult for me to see these old towns that I used to go to that are just dead.

@mittens @jayberg @mrssmith Thanks! Yeah, I noticed a lot of towns like Fortville in Indiana, and that class really explained why. It's really sad to see it happen.

Love this shot! The patterns and lines make for a great composition. Your commentary is so sad yet so true.
