Dale Chihuly sculpture at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis
This is a glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly at the Children's Museum. It is 3 1/2 stories tall. You can view it from each floor of the museum, including the lower level - they have it set up so you can sit underneath it and look up, which is really neat. At the very top there are large windows so the sun just pours down on it. They also have a display on one wall explaining how it was made and assembled, and some of the different shapes and colors children can look for. It's so colorful and each "squiggle" seems to be different from every other one. I've seen Chihuly's work before, but I've never spent as much time looking at any of his pieces as I did this one.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
October 2014- finally reached 365 photographs and it...
How fabulous this is! I'm familiar with his name, so I must have seen work by him before. This is enough to delight any child...and the child within all of us! Thanks for sharing it!
