It was 15 degrees with 20 mph winds this morning (a record low for Tucson, AZ). It was obvious that this was a record low as it wasn't dealt with very well.
Today, I heard stories of pipes bursting (water and gas), I heard of bikes breaking (tires and chains were so cold that they broke), schools were closed even though there was no snow, and diesel trucks were stranded on the freeway!!

@kerristephens I lived in San Luis Obispo for 20 years (still work there) and now I'm in Grover Beach. LOVE the Central Coast! Was in the mid-west and Colorado for my first 20 years. Still Love the snow...when I'm visiting!
It got pretty dang cold. Our pipes didn't burst or anything, but we were up at 5am and our neighbor had a thermometer outside, said it was 8 degrees where we live near the Marana exit. 8 degrees! Crazy crazy stuff. Great shot!
@aikiuser Yeah, California's central coast is gorgeous! My family used to go up the coast for vacation. We went to Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, and the like. I totally loved those places!
