My Dad Says "Upkeep Is Everything . . ." by kerristephens

My Dad Says "Upkeep Is Everything . . ."

when it comes to a car.

This was taken on Friday (the 25th) at Gammon's Gulch ( http://www.gammonsgulch.com/index.html). It was also where I got the photo of this little church ( http://365project.org/kerristephens/365/2011-02-26).

The truck is actually old, the church is not.
Nice photo.

Lol! That's not near the Old Tucson sets, is it? We lived there & visited before the fire in the 1990s - way back in the last century. In fact, I think that's my husband's old truck. ;)

Super capture! So much character, such a stark setting.

I love this old truck, in fact I have found a PASSION shooting history and abandoned buildings/vehicles/homes. However, I don't like the angle on this. It would have looked so much better if you shot it from the front. This is almost like shooting a photo of someone's back.
March 1st, 2011
@jasonbarnette Thanks for the advice!! If I get a chance to go back (and have more time out there) I probably will try from the front. It was such a neat place to visit and he had so many antique cars and buildings.

@pinktornado39 Actually, it was real near Tombstone. On Friday, we drove through Tombstone (right past Wyatt Earp's old house) to get to Willcox to see the sandhill cranes and then drove through Tombstone on the way back and decided while we were up that direction, since I'd never seen Gammon's Gulch, to go visit.

March 1st, 2011
Is that an old mine shaft in the background?
I guess a little TLC would have helped. These old wrecks give lots if interesting textures. I like it.

I like the angle from behind with the hills in the background. It makes you think about where this truck has been in the last fifty or more years.
