such a shocking realitiy of human abuse and cruelty. if I think a bit more about I start to cry... so sad.
Don´t if you know this but Brasil is very famous for its soap operas. We have now playing a soap opera which talks about this theme, and this is not the first one. It is a way Brazilian media find to bring some awareness to this problem; among many others.
I saw this and freaked out. It's crazy how few people know that human trafficking is still a huge problem. And it isn't a problem just in foreign countries but all over the world; including our own neighborhoods. Thank you for posting this!
In 2009 I spent a month in Chiang Mai, Thailand and got to see first-hand what it looked like in the bars and it just broke my heart. Some of the girls I was with got to spend time with the women and heard their stories. I also have a friend who is an abolitionist in Atlanta. So, this is something dear to me. Again, this is awesome!
