This is one of my favorite parks. Last summer there were 3 tornadoes that came through our town and just outside of it. This park was hit really hard and dozens of trees were knocked down. Aric and I were driving around and passed by it. We stopped because we were shocked. Half of them were gone! Not only that but all the climbing structures were gone.

We've had a lot of rain and cool weather here so the grass is incredibly green.

Nice area. Looks like it's recovered fairly well from the damage.

It is a lovely shot! Hope those darn tornado's stay away this year. I know that area seems to get hit with them a little to often. My sister lives near Webberville and she has had a few tornado's hit her place. Not her house but the back park of her land with all the trees.

@camisze the town I live in gets hit every year. I grew up 25 miles from here (between here and Webberville) and we rarely saw storms like there are here. Last year 50-some homes were seriously damaged and thousands of trees were lost. Fortunately no one has been hit so far.

Gorgeous green scene and fabulous shot. Hopefully the tornadoes will stay away this year. They are my most dreaded fear.
