1. Not burning my house down. I had decided to cook soup and managed to get busy with other things. I therefore forgot about it, until I could smell the pot burning.
2. The trees that provide the wood for our heater. Without them we would be shivering with cold right now.
Nicely done, I like the subtle light on the embroidery. I don't think that I would have been game to put a candle on such lovely linen. I'm sure that I would manage to spill melted wax on it!
