1. One door closing. Today was my final day at my workplace. I stepped inside the building with a deep breath and a few hours later left with a spring in my step. I knew in that moment that I had made the absolute best decision for me. After 5 1/2 years I had come to a fork in the road, my tank was completely empty and my ride had to end. Now I begin the rewarding challenge to recharge my batteries, fill up my tank till it is overflowing, and never allow it to become completely empty again. It is a challenge that I now embrace, wholeheartedly and with passion.
2. New beginnings. Upon my return home I began the task of feeding the animals. When I entered the Chook shed, I was greeted with the beautiful chirping of new life. There in front of me were five little chicks, chirping excitedly for their Mumma - as they tried to climb underneath her wings. It was a glorious sight and one I felt was so beautifully presented to remind me, that today is a day of ‘New Beginnings’ and I have the rest of my life ahead of me to enjoy.
3. The wonderful and encouraging words you have all given to me - and continue to give me on a daily basis. I came here initially to enjoy the world through a visual representation of another person’s day, and to share my own. Yet we have created a dynamic community of uplifting connections, passionate individuals and I for one have found some of my greatest supporters here. My heart swells with joy and I am so pleased to be able to share our journeys with each other.
The symbolism found in the shed of a beautiful new beginning brings me joy as it did you. Thank you for sharing that miracle and this wonderful picture to commemorate it!
