I woke up today thinking it was the last Thursday before lent, which meant that it should have been 'Tłusty Czwartek' or 'Fat Thursday'. A christian feast day when Polish people eat lots of pączki (donuts). So I organised for us to have pączki, as is the tradition.
However, when my daughter arrived with them she had a huge smile on her face and told me that today was Friday! - This is pretty much how my whole week has felt, me lagging one day behind in my mind! Some how I had got my days mixed up and missed yesterday.
