The cherry blossoms surrounding the tidal basin in Washington, D.C., are not yet at peak bloom, which is defined as 70% of blossoms open. At this stage, the scent of the blossoms and the pink shading is more prevalent. This photo begins my cherry blossom series this week.
Thus is a fabulous photo. The blossoms popped so much they leapt out of the screen as it loaded. I love the way the clouds echo the clouds of blossom.. Terrific placement of the monument and the boat. Brilliant :-)
