Dubuque has the most darling little independent bookstore in an historic building. My brother and I once took refuge in the basement during a tornado warning. There was plenty of reading material.

Love this shot Karen! I can almost smell the aroma in that room with all of the wood and the books!! I love little places like this. The one in Denver near the kids house is called Tattered Cover...same deal, tons of books and warm seating areas to peruse them. Faved!
I could spend all day there! This photo makes me happy in every way. I adore books, and usually read about two a week. Lately, I haven't had much time to do it. Thank you for sticking with me during my current wedding crisis lack of time.
