Die Vereinigte Kirche

The day was a cold wet dreary one in D.C. We braved the rain and wind to go to the annual German luncheon at the United Church not far from my office. The church was built in 1891 by German immigrants. Services in the German language are still held here on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. The photo is of the main stained glass window in the chapel.

A lovely window. This looks especially wonderful viewed on black. Fav for me! Do you speak German? I'm not German, but I studied the language--don't get a chance to speak it now. it's a language I love.
