These two Cordyline australis plants (cabbage trees) which are about 75cm (30") tall, are growing in the guttering of our big shed at the nursery, courtesy of seeds dropped by birds. As they are up at a height of around 7m (23'), we don't have a ladder with a long enough reach to remove them. We're going to have to make a plan fairly soon though!
Thanks to Paul @paul2782 for the gentle nudge I needed to get posting again. Someone I have followed closely recently left 365, and I've really missed their photos and input. Hadn't realised that I'd gotten myself into a bit of a slump because of it, but all good now.
I had a similar problem with a ficus trying to grow in my rain gutters. No way I could get up there myself so I had to call a rain gutter company to come and clean them out. The man that did the work removed two huge bags of debris from up there. It was unbelievable!
Wow, they're growing in the gutter, amazing ! Bit of a pain though I should imagine. I'm glad you're posting again Francoise, I thought you were having a bit of a break :))
@cazann Thanks Caz - I won't be posting every day - I just don't have the time at the moment as our business is very busy. But I do look at all the new photos and enjoy them - sometimes don't have time to comment on every one!
It was nice of you to respond : thank you its a superb composition and and the processing complements the image : love how they are leaning into each other : so well seen so well captured fav
This is a cool shot... and I'm glad to see we are not the only ones with plants growing in our gutters! ;)
@monkeykid Thanks Therese
I have been wondering where you were! Good to see you posting again and with such an interesting shot. I really like the composition and light.
