Winter warmth by kiwiflora

Winter warmth

My dear husband very kindly stacked our fire wood on Sunday all on his own as I was away for the day! Our weather has been damp and drizzly for a couple of days, so last night was our first fire for autumn. Another rainy day today, but clear skies for the rest of the week (according to the forecast).

I love the heart shaped log at the top right of the photo.
That's a great wooden heart (don't think I'd want to burn that one) amongst all the lovely wood patterns and texture.

Love the patterns of this and the textures! If he stacked it AND you had a fire it warmed your husband twice! I think an isolated shot is in order for the heart shaped log!

@happysnap @grammyn Thanks both of you for your lovely comments - Katy I definitely agree about a photo of the heart-shaped log - I thought of it immediately after I'd read Linda's comment about not burning it! When our rain clears up (hopefully Wed) I'll pop outside and have a go.
