Flight of the Tui

The Tui go crazy for the kowhai flowers. This one won the battle for this branch but looks a little ruffled.

bossy birds aren't they lovely flash of the blue feathers. the waxeyes were flocking in the native fuscsia tree that I photographed today, then a bell bird came and they all took off immediately, he chortled with satisfaction but didn't pose for me, I have yet to get a decent belllbird shot
