Black cactus

I found a black cactus or is that a succulent. Anyone know the difference?

Aeonium Schwarzkopf.... it hasn't got prickles like cacti .. can break off just one of the florets and it would grow for you ... has a bright yellow daisy like flower .. have some in my garden and they are great as handle dry conditions..
