Waxeye amongst the pears by kiwinanna

Waxeye amongst the pears

The bird population in the pear tree has trebled and quadrupled since the pears started ripening. This green Waxeye amongst the green leaves was having a lovely feast of the pears. There were bellbirds, thrush, blackbirds and wax-eyes amongst the invited guests.
Gorgeous eyes! A very handsome bird.
