Our local memorial hall is undergoing a bit of a facelift in readiness for the first Anzac Day service to be held here in many a year. First came the new sign then the flagpole. Then we couldn't find the key to unlock the flagpole - who knew flagpoles have locks?
Fortunately the health and safety officials weren't around to check as these guys scrambled around the roof. It's just the kiwi way to use tractors and ladders. I normally just play secretary but apparently part of my role is documenting the renovations to justify the funding received.
